Pie was a delicious, filling and main dish in Ancient Greece, still remaining nowadays. All kinds of pies and cakes were called “PLAKOUS”, in Ancient Greek language. In ancient times, those pies were made as a mixture of flour, water, milk, olive oil,
cheese, and honey.
Except for consumption as main food, pies were given to the Temples as offerings.
Wheat, Flour, Water, Milk, Olive Oil, Honey.
All these materials are essential for the human's life, that's why they appear as symbols in all the ancient ceremonies of all the ancient civilizations, in Ancient Greece as well.
